Who We Are

Why "Nidhogg"?

The name Nidhogg is inspired by Norse mythology, where Níðhöggr (Nidhogg) is a powerful dragon that dwells beneath Yggdrasil, the world tree. In the myths, Nidhogg rules over the underground, where it gnaws at the roots of Yggdrasil—just as the earth holds the minerals and natural resources that sustain development on the surface.

Our founders chose the name Nidhogg Resources because it reflects our connection to the underground world—the source of the raw materials that fuel progress. Just as Nidhogg shapes what lies beneath, our work in resource extraction and management plays a crucial role in building the foundations of modern society including the energy transition.

Beyond its symbolic meaning, the name also represents strength, resilience, and relentless determination—values that drive us forward as we explore, extract, and refine the world’s essential resources.

Just as Nidhogg persists in its efforts, we embrace tenacity, strategic strength, and the courage to tackle challenges head-on. Our name reflects our commitment to persistence, resilience, and the relentless pursuit of progress, ensuring that we remain a driving force in our industry.

At Nidhogg Resources, we don’t shy away from obstacles—we face them with unwavering determination.

At Nidhogg Resources, we embrace the power and wealth of the earth to shape the future.
